The panelists will share their experience and offer insight into the current entrepreneurial space. Attend the event to learn more and for a chance to receive a free copy of Stephanie Wisner’s book: Building Backwards to Biotech. Malcolm Nason

VP Medical Strategy Director, The Bloc

Malcolm is half science nerd, half strategic champion, and 100% behind getting patients the best care. Malcolm’s pathway to marketing has not been traditional, allowing him to compile a diverse set of background experiences which give him a unique viewpoint of healthcare.  From bench science, to founding a diagnostics start-up, to business school, to marketing, Malcolm’s passion for learning helps him uncover key insights to create powerful strategy. Malcolm’s marketing experience is similarly varied, based upon his flexibility with various roles.  He’s tackled cutaneous T-cell lymphoma from the commercial side, deep partial-thickness burns from the medical communications side, and wound healing from both the strategic planning side as well as the start-up side. Always interested in a challenge, Malcolm has a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Chicago, postdoctoral training from Columbia University and an MBA from Penn State.  He mentors start-ups in the healthcare space, and is a frequent judge for medical start-up competitions, providing insights to Facebook, the US Army Medical Corps, and various NYC-based organizations.
