Principles and Pitfalls in Poster Design & Presentation

July 21st, 2 – 3 PM Central

Your poster is an advertisement of your hard work and presenting it is one of the best ways to network in the academic community. However, poster creation and design is rarely taught to scientists! In this workshop, you’ll learn principles of effective poster design, suggest a few ways to keep it simple, and identify common mistakes that drive everyone crazy. We will also cover best practices presenting your poster – both for online events and in person. This event is appropriate for any PhD students and postdocs in the STEM fields.
