Wedbush Securities is a privately-held investment firm based in Los Angeles, CA.  Within our Investment Banking and Capital Markets Group, the firm’s expertise concentrates on specific verticals, including healthcare and technology.  Our dedicated equity research life sciences team currently provides coverage across >100 publicly-traded biotechnology companies spanning from commercial-stage entities to pre-clinical/clinical-stage companies.

Externship Description

The externship introduces PhD candidates to our diligence process, which requires critical evaluation of scientific, clinical, regulatory and financial information.  Externs will work to examine a specific company with therapeutic development programs in progress and determine the attractiveness of the investment opportunity.  Each week, externs will present findings, interact with the mentor and work to develop a proposed investment thesis.  At the end of the quarter, the extern will present their findings, and pitch an investment idea to the Wedbush Life Sciences group.  The externship will also offer you an opportunity to learn more about equity research, our group and Wedbush as a whole.
